Wallaroos coach Jo Yapp has included eleven NSW Waratahs players for the side’s upcoming Test Match against the New Zealand Blackferns at Ballymore Stadium on Sunday.
Brianna Hoy and Eva Karpana will be leading Australia forward up front as starting props, with Kailan Leaney, Atasi Lafai and Piper Duck also featuring in the starting pack.
The scrum base combination of Layne Morgan and Arabella McKenzie will again be steering the Wallaroos around the park, with last week’s four-try hero Desiree Miller and Georgia Friedrichs retaining their positions in the first choice backline.
Rounding out the Waratahs contingent are forwards Bridie O’Gorman and Leilani Nathan, who will look to provide impact from the interchange bench.
Wallaroos Coach Jo Yapp said: “We’ve prepared well for the match and are looking forward to playing in front of Wallaroos fans at Ballymore.
“We know our final Test match of the year on home soil against the Black Ferns is a big challenge, but one we are looking forward to ahead of WXV 2 in September.”
The Wallaroos are hunting for their first victory over the Black Ferns in international history with a big crowd expected at Ballymore in Brisbane on Sunday.
Supporters of both teams are encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets to Sunday’s Test match while fans will be able to take to the turf shortly after full-time.
