NSW Waratahs have named their A side to take on the Brumby Runners on Saturday at Brumbies HQ (4pm kick-off AEDT) with Angus Scott-Young set to make his first appearance in the Cambridge Blue.
Scott-Young, 28, arrived at the Waratahs in the off-season from Northampton Saints and will line up at number eight at the weekend.
Wallabies Folau Faingaa and Andrew Kellaway are included, with the former captaining the side. George Poolman is also named, having made his debut for the Waratahs in last weekend’s Swyftx Super Rugby Pacific Round 4 loss to the Hurricanes at Allianz Stadium.
Waratahs A head coach Zak Beer is excited to see the mix of youth and experience come together on Saturday in Canberra.
“We’ve named a healthy blend of both experienced Super Rugby campaigners, together with some exciting new talent coming through the Waratahs pathways,” Beer said.
“It was great to see Sid Harvey make his debut last week off the back of a strong performance for our Waratahs A's side the week prior, and that's what this system should be about.
“Saturday's a great opportunity for the players to showcase their skills once again, against a quality opposition and push for selection in what is a strong Waratahs squad.
“We’d love to see any Waratahs supporters down in Canberra come out to show their support and get behind the guys.”

Another fixture for a Waratahs team on Saturday sees the under-18s travel down to Brisbane to take on the Reds at David Wilson Field in Brisbane (1.05pm kick-off AEST).
Harry Whitaker (Newington College) and Izak Holmes (Barker College), nephews of former Super Rugby half-backs Chris Whitaker and Josh Holmes, are included in the squad.
Head of Pathways at the Waratahs Andrew Cleverley was looking forward to seeing his young players test themselves against quality opposition.
“The squad has worked hard over the last few months to prepare for games,” Cleverley said.
“We are looking forward to the see the players perform under the pressure situation that the Reds under-18s will provide. This is a big step up for our players and we hope they flourish in this environment.”
