The NSW Waratahs can confirm fly-half Jack Bowen and locks Ben Grant and Angus Blyth have all left the club.
Bowen made 18 appearances for the Waratahs across four seasons, scoring 44 points. While Grant played 17 times in Super Rugby Pacific over two seasons, with Blyth winning 11 Waratahs caps in his only season for the club in 2026.
Director of High Performance B-J Mather thanked the trio for everything they’ve given to the club while representing the Waratahs.
“I would like to thank Jack, Ben and Angus for their efforts at the club, on and off the field, during their time here,” Mather said.
“They have all shown unwavering commitment to the club and represented the Waratahs jersey with pride whenever they have taken to the field.
“Jack came all the way through our pathways program to Super Rugby Pacific level, while Ben and Angus have been huge assets for us in the second-row.
“We wish them all the best for the future and what’s next for them in their careers.”
Having graduated through the club’s pathway program, Bowen made his Waratahs debut in 2023 against the Blues in Auckland in Round 9.
He represented the Academy at under-15, 16 and 18 age-group levels, before also representing Australia under-20s in 2023. Bowen started at 10 against the British & Irish Lions last year in front of a full-house at Allianz Stadium.
205cm lock Grant played for the Waratahs for two seasons, arriving from the Hurricanes ahead of 2025. He featured in all 14 of our matches in 2025 and made a significant contribution to our Super Rugby Aus title that year.
Blyth returned to his hometown club from the Reds ahead of last season, having played his junior rugby for Casuarina Beach. Blyth scored a crucial try in the bonus-point Round 2 win over the Fijian Drua at Allianz Stadium.
