Waratahs lock and South Coogee junior Miles Amatosero could make his Wallabies debut off the bench against Italy in Saturday's Nations Championship clash at HBF Park in Perth.

Amatosero, 24, is in line to become Wallaby number 998 after he was received his first call-up ahead of the start of the inaugural Nations Championship.

Wing Harry Potter will also line up on the left wing, his first appearance for the Wallabies this season.

Prop Angus Bell, centre Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and wing Max Jorgensen complete the Waratahs' representation in the 23.

Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt said: “We've shown some encouraging signs but we need to sustain our accuracy and effort throughout the match.

“The challenge for us this week is to perform at a consistently high standard against a dangerous Italian side, who were hugely competitive in the Six Nations, beating both Scotland and England as well as running other teams close"
