Kaitlan Leaney

Kaitlan Leaney (Waratah #172) is a talented forward hailing from Coffs Harbour who has become a mainstay in the Waratahs system.

Leaney took up rugby in her late teens and has played with both the SCU Marlins and Coffs Harbour Snappers.

An outstanding athlete, she dominated the local competitions in rugby 7s and 10s.

In just three years of senior 15-a-side rugby she progressed to representing the Wallaroos.

Leaney enjoyed stints in the UK with the Harlequins while fulfilling her duties with the NSW Waratahs in Super Rugby Women's.

She was named co-captain of the Wallaroos in 2025 during the Rugby World Cup and is part of both the Wallaroos and Waratahs leadership groups.
