Daniel Botha

Daniel Botha is a NSW Waratahs Academy graduate from Mosman Junior Rugby, while he also emerged as a star at Sydney’s Scots College.

After school, he played for Sydney University in the Shute Shield and became one of the NSW Academy players selected in the 2021 Junior Wallabies Camp Two Squad.

Botha is a young prop with much potential, having made his debut for the Waratahs in Round 2 of 2023’s Super Rugby Pacific campaign against the Fijian Drua. He comes from a family of rugby heritage, with his father Chris playing for Zimbabwe at the 1991 Rugby World Cup.

Botha is also an ambassador for Rio’s legacy to build NSW’s second hospice for children with life-limiting conditions, so they can live with their families during treatment.
