Angus Scott-Young

Back rower Angus Scott-Young arrived at the Waratahs in late 2025 after a successful three and a half-year stint in England with the Northampton Saints, making the most appearances of any player for the Saints in 2024/25 as they reached the final of Investec Champions Trophy that season, having also lifted the Premiership title in 2023/24.

Scott-Young grew up in Brisbane and is the son of former Wallaby Sam. He began playing rugby at the famous Brothers Rugby Club, that has produced the likes of John Eales and Fraser McReight.

He made his Super Rugby debut for the Reds in 2018 against the Brumbies in Round 3 at Suncorp Stadium and went on to play 69 times for the Reds in the competition, scoring two tries. He can play any position across the back-row.

Scott-Young is a keen photographer and artist away from the pitch, who goes by the alias ‘SAINT GUSTAF’.
