Angus Blyth was born in Wahroonga, returning to his hometown club from the Reds ahead of the 2026 season.

Blyth played his junior rugby for the Casuarina Beach Rugby Club in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. He was a standout at the Southport School alongside eventual Wallabies teammates Noah Lolesio and Zane Nonggorr.

In 2017, he earned a ‘John Eales’ scholarship to Bond University, named after his rugby idol. Later that year, he would be picked in the Australia U20s squad in 2017 along with featuring for Queensland Country in the NRC.

Blyth made his debut for the Reds in 2018 against the Sunwolves at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

After an impressive 2024 season at club level, Blyth made his Wallabies debut against Wales at Allianz Stadium in July that year. The following year, he started for the much-coveted AUNZ Invitational XV against the British & Irish Lions at the Adelaide Cricket Ground.
