The NSW Waratahs have again shown their dominance in the Super Rugby U16 competition, thrashing the Western Force 96–7 at Warringah Rugby Club on Sunday.

Looking to back up their demolition of the ACT Brumbies in the opening round of the season, the Waratahs piled on 14 tries against the Force, with outside centre Payton Tarau bagging a hat-trick and winger Asher Champman a second half double.

Waratahs flyhalf Wilson Ruthven, who finished the game with a personal haul of 31 points, opened the scoring in the first two minutes however the Force soon hit back through hooker Tamati Tawhitapou.

As the half continued though, the Waratahs proved far too strong and the teams headed into the sheds with the home side leading 49-7.

The Waratahs continued to score at will in the second half, crossing again off a rolling maul just four minutes after the restart.

Inside centre Charlie Xuereb kept the Force on the back foot throughout the entire fixture with his powerful runs and hard-hitting defence, while hulking backrower Cordell Arama again did the damage with ball-in-hand.

As the full-time siren sounded, Ziyon Lepolo crossed for the final try, capping off the Waratahs performance.

The Waratahs will now turn their attention to next Saturday’s home clash against archrivals the Queensland Reds.
