Narrabri once again played host to a spectacular weekend of rugby as the Santos Festival of Rugby lit up the region on 20–21 September. The annual event brought together fans, families and communities from across New South Wales and Queensland to celebrate the game and witness one of the state’s great rivalries.
On the field, the NSW Waratahs delivered a statement of intent, securing a clean sweep over the Queensland Reds across all four matches. From the Super Rugby AUS showdown to the Women’s clash, Under 19s battle and fast-paced Sevens, the Waratahs showed their strength and depth across every level.
The festival atmosphere matched the on-field action, with Narrabri turning sky blue as fans rallied behind their teams. Local entertainment, community events and grassroots activations combined with top-flight rugby to create a memorable experience both on and off the pitch.
