“We know they’ll be coming out with everything they’ve got; we’re keen and ready for a tough, fun day of rugby.” Undefeated NSW Waratahs U19s Prepare for Brumbies Showdown

The NSW Waratahs U19s are the only undefeated team in the tournament and are gearing up for a pivotal Round 4 clash against the ACT Brumbies. Fresh from a dominant 50-22 victory over their archrivals, the Queensland Reds, the Tahs are riding a wave of confidence as they look to extend their perfect record.

Liam Grover was a standout in the last game, crossing the line twice to help seal the comprehensive win. Grover’s ability to find space and finish scoring opportunities has been key to the Waratahs’ attacking success, and he’ll be a central figure once again as the team looks to dismantle the Brumbies' defence.

Adding to their momentum, eight Waratahs players have been selected in the Rugby AU round 3 Team of the Week, including Nate Titili, who made a successful return from his 6-week injury. Titili's immediate impact on the field speaks volumes to his importance to the team, and he’ll be eager to continue his form leading into the back end of the tournament.

The Brumbies also come into this match off the back of a convincing victory over the Rebels (59-15). The Brumbies’ captain, Malarkey Enasio, inspired his team with a powerful try last week, but the Tahs’ defence has been rock-solid all season, and they’ll be prepared to neutralise his physicality.

With the tournament heating up, the Waratahs know they’ll need to bring their A-game to maintain their unbeaten streak. The team has emphasized the importance of sticking to their game plan, focusing on quick ball movement, and exploiting the gaps in the Brumbies’ defensive line.

The Waratahs’ high-energy style of play and home ground advantage make them a formidable force. Playing in front of a passionate crowd at Pittwater Rugby Club the Tahs are determined to put on another strong performance and secure a vital win in their quest for the title.

Kaleb Ah-Colt will take on a starting role this week following Will Godard’s unfortunate, tournament-ending shoulder subluxation. Ah-Colt has already proven his value to the Tahs, finishing the previous game with a strong performance.

Reflecting on the match and the team’s mindset for the upcoming clash, Ah-Colt said:

"It was definitely a tough game, but we played well as a team, and the score shows that.”

“Discipline is a focus for us coming into this weekend. We want to minimise the penalties and errors to really be at our best.”

“There’s also been a huge focus on our aggression and intensity on defence, as we look to make a statement this Saturday."

With both teams coming off impressive wins, Saturday’s match promises to be a thrilling encounter. Can the Waratahs extend their undefeated run, or will the Brumbies hand them their first defeat? The stage is set for an exciting showdown between two top-tier sides.
