The NSW Waratahs have named their team to face the Chiefs in Round 10 of the Super Rugby Pacific this Friday at 7:35pm AEST at Allianz Stadium.

Head Coach Darren Coleman has made a handful of changes to the team that defeated the Crusaders 43-40 in Round 8 for the highly anticipated clash with a strong Chiefs outfit.

In the forward pack, Hugh Sinclair and Miles Amatosero have been promoted to the starting line-up and will join forces in the second row together.

Their elevation sees Jed Holloway and Langi Gleeson revert to the reserves list where they will add considerable impact in the closing stages of the match.

Gleeson shifts to the reserves list as a result of the versatile and in-form Ned Hanigan being named at Number 8.

Jay Fonokalafi also returns to the side after the unfortunate news that hooker Theo Fourie will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a foot injury.

Whilst in the backline, Mark Nawaqanitawase returns to the wing to partner Triston Reilly, and Joey Walton has also been named to start at outside centre with Izaia Perese dropping back to the reserves list.

The Waratahs and the Chiefs will be coming into this contest refreshed after both having the bye last week. The difference being that NSW went into the bye on the back of a morale-boosting win over the Crusaders, whilst the Chiefs were left to dwell on a 36-23 loss to the Hurricanes.

The Chiefs are however situated in fifth place on the ladder and will be a tough challenge for the home side.

The Waratahs will be commemorating Anzac Weekend Round on Friday and have a host of tributes lined up to honour the occasion.
