NSW Waratahs can confirm Eastern Suburbs quartet Teddy Wilson, Jack Bowen, Julian Heaven and Jack Grant have all re-signed with the club for the 2025 season.

With celebrations ongoing following Easts’ victory in the Shute Shield Grand Final last weekend, the four players will soon return to Daceyville for pre-season under new Waratahs head coach Dan McKellar.

Former Junior Wallabies captain Wilson and experienced campaigner Grant will continue to provide the Waratahs with strong depth at scrumhalf, while flyhalf Bowen will look to add to the three appearances he made last season.

23-year-old hooker Julian Heaven received a late call-up to the Waratahs squad last season as injuries decimated the club’s front row stocks.

He made the most of the opportunity with nine Super Rugby Pacific appearances, including five games as a starter.

NSW Waratahs Director Simon Raiwalui Director of Performance said:

“These re-signings are an important step for the Waratahs as we build out a well-rounded squad for the 2025 season. We know these four players have their best Rugby still ahead of them and we will be giving them every opportunity to showcase their talent and deliver on their potential.”

Waratahs scrumhalf Teddy Wilson said:

“I love it here at the Waratahs and it definitely feels like home here. Re-signing was an easy decision for me this year. I still want to achieve a lot more things here at the Waratahs and the future looks exciting.”

Waratahs flyhalf Jack Bowen said:

“It’s obviously a really exciting time with a lot of young guys here and some really experienced old heads so to lock down my time here under new coaching and performance staff is going to be really exciting over the next few years. Hopefully we can emulate some of the success that we’ve had in past years.”

Waratahs hooker Julian Heaven said:

“It’s a very exciting time for me and my family. It’s good to be rewarded for the hard work and the effort I put in last year but nothing changes for me, it’s just an opportunity to get better and grow. I’m looking forward to doing that with the new staff and players here at the club.”

Waratahs scrumhalf Jack Grant said:

“It’s special this place. I always wanted to play here and there’s just so many cool things happening in the future of Australian Rugby and in NSW. To be here at the moment, it’s pretty exciting to stay.”
