Knight Frank Australia has extended its support of the NSW Women’s Waratahs by another three years, and will now also support the Sydney women’s competition.

The support of Knight Frank, Principal Partner of the NSW Waratahs Women’s for the last three years, now spans across the wider training squad, from the senior and junior teams with a combined total of around 70 players, to the NSW Waratahs Women’s Sevens and Women’s competition, which has between 10 teams and upwards of 200 players.

The extended partnership will see the Knight Frank logo once again adorn the front position of the jersey of the NSW Waratahs Women, who last year won the Championship for the fifth time.

Knight Frank, which is a global property consultancy with more than 740 across more than 50 territories and with more than 27,000 people worldwide, first signed on as a Principal Partner with the NSW Waratahs Women’s rugby team the start of 2022.

As part of the ongoing partnership, Knight Frank will continue to look to provide employment pathways for Waratahs Women's players that accommodate their training commitments.

Piper Duck, the Waratahs Captain and Australian Wallaroos player, is one such beneficiary to the opportunities that the Knight Frank partnership provides. She works in Knight Frank’s Asset Management Services (AMS) team in a part-time flexible role.

Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson said he was thrilled to announce the extension of the partnership with the Waratahs Women’s for another three years running until the end of 2027 following a successful three-year period.

“The partnership aligns with Knight Frank’s passion for supporting sportspeople and career opportunities for women in property as it works towards gender equity in the workplace,” he said.

“Our hope is that our partnership with the NSW Waratahs Women’s team will make it financially easier for team members to continue doing what they love and are good at, while also gaining some skills and a pathway to a career that they could potentially move into post their rugby career.

“We held a property careers information session with the women at the end of the last season to make them more aware of the opportunities on offer.

The extended partnership provides Knight Frank with a great platform for brand awareness and deepened client relationships through engagement opportunities that are aligned to their values and interests.”

Rugby Australia Director Commercial & Marketing James Durbin said the extension of the partnership by Knight Frank is a huge boost for women’s rugby in NSW.

“This is a superb development for women’s rugby,” Durbin said.

“The extension of the Partnership by Knight Frank for the Waratahs and the new investment in the women’s competition in Sydney reaffirms the value of women’s rugby as a primary brand, particularly in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup 2029 in Australia.   “Importantly, Knight Frank’s commitment provides women playing rugby a logical career pathway from the amateur to the professional level.”
