The Tahs arrived to perfect weather in the nation's west, looking to continue their winning streak into their season's final fixture.
The Tahs game opened with a well-executed lineout as the backs spun the ball along their attacking line, shifting from the left side to the right, before finding winger Darcy Feltham who danced along the sideline and dived over the try line in the corner.
Almost straight after, flanker Samuel Polley then broke through the defensive line, throwing a dummy pass to shake off defenders before finding fullback Jack Kalms safe hands and fast legs, Kalms then sprinted upfield with defenders in hot pursuit, placing the ball down for the second try within the opening five minutes.
Continuing the dominance, a series of strong rucks in the Force’s red zone piled the pressure on the home side, then number eight Selestino Mainakavika lunged over the line, extending the Tahs’ lead to 15-0 to the Tahs having missed the initial three conversions.
On the restart, winger Jarryd King made a dash up the left wing, putting a strong fend on the Force defenders before flicking the ball back inside to Feltham, who executed a high kick and chase, finding open-side flanker Henri Dempsey for his first try of the day.
The Tahs extended their lead when flanker Samuel Polley sprinted up the middle of the field, drawing in defenders before offloading to Nicholas Kotarac, who crossed the line for another well-executed score.
Momentum remained firmly with the Tahs as a quick ruck allowed scrum-half Flynn Farrell to link up with fly-half Talen Risati. Risati flicked the ball back inside, setting Feltham free to charge down the middle of the field for his second try of the day, which was easily converted.
Farrell seemed set to get his name on the scoresheet as he picked up the ball from a ruck and made a determined dash for the line. However, an unfortunate knock-on just before grounding the ball denied him his moment. Shortly after, fullback Jack Kalms shifted the ball to outside centre Ashton Larve, who delivered a perfectly timed pass to Feltham. The winger sprinted down the line to complete his hat-trick just minutes before half-time.
A yellow card to the Force gave the Tahs another attacking opportunity, which they seized. A quick lineout led to a rolling maul, with hooker Anakin Richardson powering
over the line for the final try of the half, sending the Tahs into the break with a commanding 46-0 lead.
The second half began with an even contest, as both teams were awarded scrums and penalties. However, the Tahs broke the deadlock when open-side flanker Henri Dempsey weaved through defenders and offloaded to Kalms, who dived over for a try.
The Force responded with a dangerous attacking play, looking likely to score their first try of the match. Their momentum was momentarily halted by an immense tackle from tighthead prop Amanaki Tangi, but they eventually broke through as fullback Chase Bunce capitalized on a kick-and-chase to get his team on the board.
The Tahs quickly answered, with Keone Anitelea-Tsioussis making a powerful run upfield before taking a heavy tackle. The ball was swiftly shifted wide to Feltham, who touched down for yet another try.
The forwards then got involved, with loosehead prop Tyson Burdon executing a well-timed dummy to evade defenders and score under the posts, giving the Tahs an easy conversion. The backs continued to show cohesion as they moved the ball laterally across the field, allowing Feltham to score his fifth try of the day just before full-time.
Despite the Tahs' dominance, the Force had the final say, scoring a late consolation try through Luke Wessels after a series of pick-and-drives.
With a convincing win under their belts, the undefeated Tahs will head back to Sydney full of confidence as they prepare for next weekend’s Grand Final clash against the Reds.
